The Miners boy’s lacrosse team squeaked out a 9-8 victory over Santa Margarita High School from Rancho Santa Margarita, California, Friday at home. Trailing 4-2 at halftime, Park City outscored their opponents 4-1 in the third quarter and found the back of the net three more times in the fourth. Junior standout Henry Alnwick led the Miners in the win with five points on three goals and two assists; senior Tommy Fannon also had four points on three goals and an assist. Park City will take on West Jordan next Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. on the road after this week’s spring break at Park City High School.  The Miners girl’s lacrosse team cruised to a 22-3 road win over Mountain Ridge on Thursday. Park City took a commanding 13-2 lead into halftime, tacking on nine more goals in the second half. Junior Sophia Mondschein led the team with nine points on five goals and four assists. The 9-2 Miners will welcome Lone Peak to town next Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. The Miners baseball team dominated Judge Memorial Catholic 19-6 Friday at home in game one of a two-game series. Park City trailed their opponents 6-4 heading into the third inning, where they scored five runs; the Miners tracked on 10 more runs in the fourth to help end the game early via a mercy rule. Sophomore Jack Gallagher hit a home run in the win. The win was Park City’s third-straight. The team will face Judge Memorial Catholic in game two of the series Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. on the road.  The Miners boy’s soccer team took down regional foe Cottonwood 4-0 Friday on the road. Park City scored all four of its goals in the game’s second half. Senior midfielder Max Schneider led the team with two goals and an assist. The win snapped a four game losing streak, which included a defeat at the hands of rival Wasatch Thursday on the road. The Miners will take on East at 3:30 p.m. on the road next Tuesday. The Miners boy’s tennis team escaped Murray with a 3-2 win on Thursday. Sophomore Thomas Rogowski got Park City’s only singles win at the one spot, claiming his match 6-3, 6-2. The Park City one and two doubles teams of Charlie Ginster and Johnny Lane, and Thatcher Ford and Jake Berkman won their matches 6-3, 6-4 and 5-7, 6-3, 6-3, respectively. The Miners will take on Skyline next Wednesday at 3 p.m. on the road.  The Miners softball team fell 19-3 to Jordan Thursday at home. Park City’s three runs came in the first inning. Evelyn Riley and Mackenzie Saldyga each batted in a run in the loss.
