An investigation is underway after the body of a woman was found in the waters off Long Island’s North Shore Monday night, in one of the ritziest neighborhoods around, according to Suffolk County police. Police responding to a 911 call from Lloyd Harbor about a floating body found the woman in the water off Lloyd Harbor Road as the sun was setting. Her identity and cause of death are pending confirmation from the medical examiner’s office. The Suffolk County Homicide Squad is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 631-852-6392. The grim discovery is a highly unusual one for the wealthy village in the town of Huntington. Billy Joel, Angelina Jolie, and Jerry Seinfeld are among the celebrities known to have lived there.
