ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — One person was injured after a drive-by shooting in Albemarle early Sunday morning. At around 4:24 a.m. on Sunday, April 12, officers with the Albemarle County Police Department responded to the 400 block of Premier Circle for reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they found a person with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to UVA Health in non-life-threatening condition, police said. Two other people inside the business at the time of the shooting also had non-life-threatening injuries. Police said they were not shot. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle by the time first responders arrived. Further information was not immediately available. Police continue to investigate.
