CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A person is in custody after a shooting and barricade incident in Chesterfield early Saturday morning. On Saturday, April 11, at around 2:30 a.m. Chesterfield police responded to the 20500 block of Southlawn Avenue for reports of a shooting. Once on scene, offic ers attempted to speak with a person inside the home, where neighbors claim they saw someone go into after shots were fired. The man refused to exit the home, resulting in the SWAT team being called. A Chesterfield officer stated that eventually, the man came out of the house, which led to his arrest.
