“Her grandmother heard the shots and every last cry,” Ringgold’s aunt, Lynette Ringgold, said.
Ringgold suffered gunshot wounds to the face, upper torso and hip, police said. She later died from her injuries.

Two other victims — a 24-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman — were also shot and taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to investigators.
Police determined that Ringgold was an innocent bystander and not the intended target of the gunmen. Police said it’s likely she was mistaken for a member of another group the gunmen were targeting.
Police also said the two other shooting victims were innocent bystanders as well.
