One person is dead and another was transported to a hospital following an early morning house fire in Streamwood Thursday that also injured a firefighter.Investigators are still at the scene of the fire that was reported just after 4:45 a.m. on the 100 block of Southwood Circle.Streamwood Fire Chief Michael Meyer said heavy smoke and fire was showing from both floors of the single-family, split-level home when firefighters arrived.Meyer said one resident was pronounced dead at the scene and a second was transported to a hospital, but their condition is unknown.For more on this story, please visit DailyHerald.com. ...read more read less
