Tesla driver put in handcuffs after going over 100 mph in California

(KRON) -- A Tesla was pulled over for travelling more than 100 mph in Southern California, the California Highway Patrol announced Tuesday on social media. The driver was subsequently placed in handcuffs.
CHP did not specify where the Tesla was speeding but stated that it happened in Altadena, nort
heast of Los Angeles city limits.

Teslas are known for being fast cars. According to a U.S. News report, even the electric vehicle company's base models are "notably quick."
"Speeds like this are extremely dangerous and put not only the driver at risk, but everyone else on the road," CHP said in the social media post. "Driving over 100 mph can result in a costly citation, your driver’s license being suspended, your vehicle being impounded from the scene."
