WARSAW, Ind. (WISH) — Indiana has issued an emergency order to restrict watercraft on the Barbee and Tippecanoe Lakes Chain and Lake Wawasee due to high water in Kosciusko County, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources announced in a Tuesday news release. The restrictions aim to preven t wake damage to dwelling structures around the lakes. The emergency order places different restrictions depending on the lake system. On the Barbee Lakes Chain, the operation of all motorized watercraft is restricted. An idle speed restriction has been placed on motorized watercraft on the Tippecanoe Lake Chain and Lake Wawasee. The Barbee Lakes Chain consists of Kuhn, Big Barbee, Little Barbee, Irish, Sechrist, Sawmill and Banning Lakes.
