A man was killed in a fiery crash in San Jose early Sunday morning, according to police. The solo vehicle crash happened at about 1:55 a.m. in the area of Capitol Expressway and Cunningham Avenue, police said. Citing a preliminary investigation, police said the man was speeding southbound on C apitol Expressway at the intersection of Cunningham Avenue when he slammed into construction safety barriers in the center median, causing his car to burst into flames. He died at the scene, according to police. His identity will be released by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner.
