One person is dead, and another is injured after a house fire in Watauga on Friday night, officials said. According to the City of Watauga, firefighters responded to 6109 Mackneal Trail shortly after 11 p.m. on April 3. City officials said fire units from Haltom City and North Richland Hills a lso responded to the scene. Watauga units arrived at the scene at 11:11 p.m. and reported heavy fire conditions inside the residence, officials said. According to officials, crews were notified that a resident may be inside the home. Firefighters entered the home, located the fire, and began extinguishing it while searching for the resident. Officials said the victim was located in a bedroom and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was located, treated, and transported by Watauga Medics to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, officials said.
