Obituary: Ann Strong
Apr 03, 2026
April 15, 1943 – March 20, 2026Ann Adams Strong, 82 years old, passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2026, at her home in Park City Utah surrounded by her family and loving friends. Ann was born on April 15, 1943, in Salt Lake City Utah to Loyle and Margaret Adams. Her two brothers, Neil and
Jack were much older and doted on her daily. She was their beautiful blue-eyed baby girl and the light of all their lives. Ann married Richard Strong on June 15th, 1965, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ann and Richard were born in the same hospital just 8 hours apart and realized they had never lived more than a mile away from each other. They celebrated their honeymoon by driving across the country to make a new home in Boston while Richard attended Harvard Law School. They decided to settle in Los Angeles and had 3 kids together, and later they retired to Park City, Utah. Ann and Richard celebrated 60 years of marriage last year and were holding hands until Ann’s last breath. Ann was a nurturer, teacher, organizer, homemaker, and hostess extraordinaire. Her home in Los Angeles, was known to have at least 1 party a week. She enjoyed dancing, hiking, camping, skiing, gardening, and lake days with her family. She had a green thumb and always said she would just talk to the plants to help them grow and bloom. Ann’s plants and flowers always bloomed fully and lived much longer than expected. She made the best snickerdoodles and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and had a significant sweet tooth. But what made her happiest and most fulfilled was celebrating all the trials and tribulations of life with her family and many friends.
Ann is survived by her husband Richard Strong, her sons Matt Strong (Chelsea) and Brad Strong, her daughter Amy Martin (Chris), and her 5 grandchildren; Derek, Nathalie, Will, Isabella, and Tyler, along with many loving friends and neighbors who will all carry her light with them. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 24th, 2026, at 2pm at The Park Meadows Country Club in Park City, Utah.
