‘This Man Is Insane’: Trump Torches Bruce Springsteen Then Circles Back With a Second Post That Pushes It Way Too Far

“Born In the U.S.A.” singer Bruce Springsteen is no friend of the current commander in chief, and he has been very critical of the twice-impeached president since Donald Trump first ran for president in 2016.
Springsteen first criticized the former “Celebrity Apprentice” star in an interv
iew with Rolling Stone magazine in September of that year, calling Trump “dangerous” and a “moron.” The two have feuded ever since, and Trump’s latest attack is as low as they come.

‘Never Liked Him‘: MAGA Erupts, Donald Trump Hits Back, After Bruce Springsteen Slams Trump on British Stage
One trigger was Trump’s unauthorized use of Springsteen’s song “Born in the U.S.A.” at campaign rallies, prompting Springsteen to publicly endorse his opponent, Hillary Clinton, during the 2016 presidential election.
Several celebrities declined the former reality TV star’s invitation to perform at Trump’s inauguration, including a Bruce Springsteen cover band that was booked for the event but later canceled following strong objections from fans.
While speaking at a MAGA rally back in 2019, Trump took a dig at Springsteen as he recalled the election. “I didn’t need Beyoncé and Jay-Z,” he said. “I didn’t need little Bruce Springsteen.”
Matters have escalated drastically since then as the two have gone back and forth, blasting each other from the podium to stages around the world.
In 2025, Trump also called the rockstar “Highly Overrated” and claimed “he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK” after Springsteen blasted him and his administration on stage in Manchester, England.
However, Springteen’s insult on April 2 made Trump’s calling him “little” seem small in comparison. The POTUS was responding to the “Thunder Road” singer criticizing him while kicking off his world tour in Minneapolis, the place where DHS immigration raids led to the death of two U.S. citizens.
While on stage, Springsteen lashed out about Trump’s “unconstitutional and illegal war” in Iran and ICE detention centers. He also called out the recently fired Attorney General Pam Bondi, “You want to talk about snowflakes? We have a president who can’t handle the truth.
The president clapped back with his usual panache in a series of Truth Social posts.

“Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried-up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump wrote in a post on his platform.
He called Springsteen a “total loser who spews hate against a President,” then went into a bizarre tirade attacking former President Joe Biden and Democrats.
“Under Sleepy Joe and the Dems, our Country was DEAD and now the hottest Country, by far, anywhere in the World.” Trump ended his wayward rant with his signature style, “MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK. SAVE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. AMERICA IS BACK!!! President DJT.”
He took it a step further in another post, asking his followers, “Is Bruce Springsteen going to sue his plastic surgeon?”
It’s unclear why Trump, who has also been accused of having plastic surgery, would take jabs at Springsteen about the same issue.
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel, who has his own beef with Trump, even jumped into the fray, sharing a post on Instagram with Springsteen’s tour dates and encouraging folks to attend his concerts. He captioned, “If you’ve never seen the great Bruce @Springsteen in concert, I can’t think of a better reason to finally do it than this!”

Social media reactions to Trump’s maniacal post on social media noted his increasingly strident rhetoric.
“It’s so obvious when you get under Donny’s skin,” one fan gloated one fan. “Sounds like Bruce touched a nerve here,” another added.
One user joked about Trump’s putrid appearance, wondering how “The Boss got under his skin. “There are obviously no mirrors in the White House,” one social media user noted, while nother mentioned Trump’s penchant for projection. “Projecting much?”
Another Trump critic suggested he take a look at his own orange appearance. “Has Trump looked in the mirror?” asked another. “This man is insane,” echoed the sentiment of many online.
Meanwhile, Bruce Springsteen is headed back on the road with the E Street Band for their 2026 tour, called the Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour. The next stop is in Portland, Oregon, on April 3, but the tour will end on May 27 with a stop right in Trump’s backyard: Washington, D.C.
