Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Officials with the SC Department of Public Health have confirmed to ABC Columbia News that State Epidemiologist Dr. Linda Bell has retired. Interim Agency Director Dr. Edward Simmer says, “For nearly 33 years, Dr. Bell held various positions throughout her career with DPH and our legacy agency, DHEC. We are grateful for Dr. Bell’s outstanding, decades-long service to the people of South Carolina and the lasting impacts of her work.
