The man accused of driving under the influence and causing a crash that killed three people over the weekend in Napa County has been charged, according to the Napa County District Attorney’s Office. Wednesday, the DA said 68-year-old William Dene Brumley of American Canyon was charged with thre e felony counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and with felony driving under the influence of any drug causing injury. Brumley was charged in connection with a DUI crash that killed three people on March 28, according to the DA. That day, the California Highway Patrol said officers had responded to a “mass casualty incident” on the Silverado Trail, south of Yountville Cross Road just before noon. CHP said Brumley, who was driving a Mitsubishi sedan southbound Silverado Trail, side-swiped a BMW SUV traveling north on Silverado Trail. The impact caused the Mitsubishi to crash into a Toyota sedan traveling behind the BMW, according to CHP. The DA’s office said the incident left three people dead, who were identified as: Vivian Bertolino, 65, Linda Wolters, 62, and Katrina Clarke, 65. It also left many others injured.
