BATON ROUGE mdash; A group of poets from around Louisiana gathered at the State Library downtown on Wednesday for the "Just Listen to Yourself" poetry event.The event, featuring six Louisiana poets reading their work, highlighted traditions and cultural experiences from all corners of the state.nbs p;"All of the poets who read today were from different parts of the state, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, New Orleans, and so everybody, kind of all parts of the state were represented," host Gina Ferrara said.Another poetry event will take place at the South Branch Library off Glasgow Avenue all day on Thursday.nbsp;Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
