Both LB1071, which deals with appropriations, and LB1072, which handles cash transfers, passed on a 35-13 vote on Wednesday morning. As an April Fools’ prank to Speaker John Arch of LaVista, lawmakers on the floor all initially voted against the budget, prompting a jaw-drop from Arch.
