School students and staff were cleared from Willingboro High School, in Willingboro, New Jersey, early Tuesday as, school officials said, police investigated a bomb threat. On Tuesday morning, at about 7:30 a.m., school officials alerted parents that all buses and traffic was being directed to t he school’s Gatanos parking lot as police investigated the incident. Officials said staff and students were cleared and would be permitted back into to the facility once the police determined it was safe to return. School officials told families to avoid the area during the morning to give emergency personnel the ability to work safely and effectively. Police did not immediately say if the threat was credible or not. As of about 7:45 a.m., police were still investigating the building. School officials said updates would be provided later in the day. As of about 8:10 a.m., school officials said, on social media, that learning would commence virtually at 10:30 a.m. instead of having classes at the school on Tuesday. NBC10 is working to learn more.
