Residents in South Jersey are being warned that they may see more New Jersey State Police in their neighborhood as an investigation takes place on Monday. According to the Tabernacle Township Office of Emergency Management, an “incident” in Tabernacle has area schools under a “shelter-in-p lace” order until dismissal time on March 30. Officials say there will be an increase in troopers in the neighborhood as they investigate the incident. Residents are also being urged to avoid the area. No word yet on what prompted the investigation or if anyone has been hurt. Tabernacle schools dismissal changes for Monday New Jersey State Police informed the Tabernacle Township Office of Emergency Management about changes to dismissals for students at area schools. The shelter-in-place order will be lifted in order for students to be sent home at the end of their school day. For Kenneth R Olson Middle School, the order will be lifted at 2:30 p.m. while the order will be lifted at 3:15 p.m. for Tabernacle Elementary School. Officials warn that bus drop off times and parent pickup may be a little delayed and take longer because of the incident. All after school activities have been canceled for Monday.
