Some SF park trails close for coyote pupping season
Mar 27, 2026
Starting Friday, parts of two trails in the Presidio in San Francisco are closed to dogs for coyote pupping season.
They include the trail between Mountain Lake and Presidio Promenade, and the Bay Area Ridge Trail from Rob Hill Campground to the Presidio Golf Course.
The closures are meant to

Both on- and off-leash dogs are also prohibited from the public golf course area.
The trails are closed through early October. ...read more read less
