Bronx man pleading for safe return of his 4 beloved bulldogs finally has his pets back

A Bronx man who desperately asked for the safe return of his four beloved bulldogs, has his pets back, the NYPD confirmed.
Eusebio Baez initially told NBC New York earlier this week that he left his four beloved French bulldogs with a dog walker he has known and trusted for years when he went to
Vermont last weekend. He came home “to my life being shattered.”
Baez says he got a call on Sunday from the dog walker. The walker reported that the dogs were no longer in the individual’s apartment and, pressed further, said that they were dropped off the prior afternoon, according to Baez’s recounting of the call.
Baez says he drove straight home to Riverdale and saw that the dogs’ leashes and harnesses were not inside his apartment. He called the police to file a report. Baez says he looked at Ring camera video with investigators that he says shows the dog walker in his hallway with the dogs on Saturday.
Baez says he never returned with the animals. The frustrated man says surveillance video shows the dog walker near the Van Cortlandt Park 1 train station on Saturday evening. He didn’t have the dogs with him.
And the story kept changing. Baez showed News 4 alleged texts between him and the dog walker, where the latter mentions he might have had a seizure, and that he’s looking for the dogs.
“Things are not adding up, and my dogs are still missing at the end of the day,” Baez said earlier this week.
He has posted flyers all over his neighborhood as he searches for the dogs, but believes they were sold.
“Just give ’em back,” Baez previously said. “I won’t ask any questions. If you paid for them, I’ll give you the money back, you know. I just want my dogs back.”
The NYPD said at the time that the dog walker told police he didn’t remember if he returned the dogs to the apartment. However, things changed for the better. On Friday morning, the NYPD confirmed the dogs were located and returned to Baez. Additional information was not immediately known.
In a Thursday post on Instagram, Baez thanks everyone who helped him reunite with this furry foursome.
“Words can’t describe the way I’m feeling right now but I want to thank every single person who applied that pressure and didn’t give up,” his caption reads. “You all are the reason I kept my faith and you all are the reasons we’re reunited. Community over everything! We love you all thanks again!”
There have been no arrests, but the investigation is ongoing.
