(KRON) -- Police on Wednesday identified a man who is accused of fatally shooting his wife inside a South San Jose home on Friday evening. Alfonso Morales, 54, was arrested by responding San Jose Police Department officers as he walked out of the residence in the 400 block of Don Seville Court. Aut horities had received multiple reports of the shooting around 6 p.m. After Morales was taken into custody, officers conducted a sweep of the home and found a woman suffering from at least one gunshot. The victim, who was identified as Morales’s wife, was rushed to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The incident marks San Jose’s seventh homicide of 2026.
