SF woman arrested in BayviewHunters Point stabbing

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A 27-year-old San Francisco woman faces multiple charges after police responded to a report of a possible stabbing Tuesday afternoon in the city's Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood.
While en route to a residence on the 900 block of Fairfax Avenue, the San Francisco Police
Department said officers learned that two people involved in a physical altercation.
At the scene, police met with both parties and found that one person was suffering from injuries. They were taken by paramedics to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
"Through the course of the investigation, officers developed probable cause to place the other subject under arrest for the incident," SFPD said in a statement to KRON4.
The suspect, identified as Joanna Spruell, was taken to San Francisco County Jail, where she was booked on suspicion of aggravated assault, criminal threats and battery causing serious injury.
While there has been an arrest, the investigation remains active. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact SFPD.
