(NEXSTAR) – Savannah Guthrie is again imploring anyone with information into the disappearance of her mother Nancy to come forward and “do the right thing.”
Guthrie, in an upcoming interview with her “Today” colleague Hoda Kotb, opens up about the anguish that she and her family have expe
rienced since her 84-year-old mother was apparently abducted from her Tucson home almost two months ago.
“Someone needs to do the right thing. We are in agony. We are in agony,” Guthrie said in a preview of the interview that aired Wednesday on the “Today” show. “It is unbearable.”
“And to think of what she went through. I wake up every night, in the middle of the night, every night, and in the darkness, I imagine her terror, and it is unthinkable. But those thoughts demand to be thought.
“And I will not hide my face. But she needs to come home now.”

Kotb’s full interview with Guthrie will air on “Today” in two parts, on Thursday and Friday, Kotb said.
“She talks about so many things,” Kotb said of the full interview. “She talks about the investigation, she talks about her faith, and she talks about how she’s getting through. … And then in the next portion, you’ll see she talks about how God is holding her hand.”
“Today” co-host Carson Daly said on Wednesday’s show that Guthrie has shown grace and resilience through the ordeal, but it’s been “gut-wrenching” to watch her in a “tortured limbo state.”
“That’s exactly where it is,” remarked Kotb.
Authorities focus on Jan. 11 in Nancy Guthrie search
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1, after having dinner with family the previous evening. Federal and local authorities believe she was forcibly taken from her home, and later obtained footage of a masked, armed individual approaching her door on the morning of her disappearance. Blood found outside Guthrie’s front door was also confirmed to belong to the victim.
In late February, Guthrie's family offered a $1 million reward for information leading to the recovery or location of her mother.
At the time, Guthrie said she and her family still believe in a “miracle,” but understood that Nancy Guthrie, 84, may have already “gone home to the Lord that she loves.”
“And if this is what is to be … we will all accept it,” she said. “But we need to know where she is. We need her to come home."
