Meridian Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a reported stabbing that happened around 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday near Ustick and Five Mile roads.According to a news release from Boise Police, officers responded to the s cene, where they "provided immediate life-saving care to an adult male victim until Ada County Paramedics arrived and assumed care."A preliminary investigation into the incident indicates that a verbal altercation between the suspect and victim may have preceded the stabbing.Investigators later identified the suspect as 24-year-old James Rice and located him at a Meridian residence in the 1200 block of E. Ringneck Dr. in Meridian, where he was taken into custody.Rice was later booked into Ada County Jail on the charge of felony aggravated battery.Officials say the victim is receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
