March 23, 2026 morning forecast with Tara Hastings INDIANAPOLIS (WISH-TV) – Much cooler today as temperatures return closer to normal for this time of the year. Look for some sunshine for the afternoon with highs below normal. Temperatures slowly climb for the rest of the week. More thundersto rms are possible late Thursday.  Yesterday we saw a high of 88. Not only did we break a daily high temperature record but we also said the warmest temperature for the month of March in Indianapolis.  TODAY: Cloudy conditions to start off the day with much cooler readings compared to yesterday. We are about 30 degrees colder this morning and we will continue to see temperatures on the cooler side this afternoon. Look for more sunshine later today with highs climbing to 49. That is a little bit below our normal of 55. It will be a bit breezy with winds out of the northwest gusting at times around 20 to 25 miles per hour. TONIGHT: Look for partly cloudy skies later tonight with low temperatures around freezing. TOMORROW: Sunny skies for your Tuesday with readings right around normal. Look for highs near 55 degrees. Winds will be light out of the southeast. 7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Wednesday we will get even warmer. Partly cloudy conditions throughout the day with high temperatures climbing to 68. Another storm system heads this way on Thursday. Ahead of the cold front we will see temperatures sore into the upper 70s close to 80. There is a chance of some showers and thunderstorms and some of those could be on the stronger side later Thursday evening into early Friday morning.  Temperatures drop once again on Friday. Look for highs only around 48 degrees. The Indianapolis Indians have their home opener on Friday evening and it does look like we will see cooler conditions for some baseball but also it will be dry.
