A plane flying on behalf of Air Canada was nearing the end of its landing procedure when it collided with a Port Authority firetruck that was on the runway, sources said.The pilot and co-pilot of the plane died in the collision, two sources said. The two Port Authority officers in the emergency vehicle suffered broken bones.There were 72 passengers and four crew members onboard the plane; 41 passengers, crew, and aircraft rescue and firefighting officers were taken to area hospitals for injuries.The cause of the collision is under investigation. A National Transportation Safety Board team is on site. LaGuardia is expected to remain closed through early afternoon.
