1 dead, another in critical condition near east side shooting INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police say a man is dead, a woman is in critical condition, and another woman is in stable condition after a shooting on Indy’s east side took place Sunday morning just after 4 a.m. According to Indianapol is Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the scene of the 200 block of North Tacoma Avenue on the report of a person shot. That’s near East Washington Street. Officers say they arrived to find a man dead with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds, along with two females who were shot. Both females were transported to the hospital.  Officer Tommy Thompson told News 8 that the incident happened “at some type of gathering at the residence.” “This is just a sad day to wake up on a Sunday,” Thompson said. “We started Saturday with a devastating, tragic incident. And then we’re here Sunday morning, early again.” Police say alcohol may have been a factor. “A senseless act with a firearm, we are going to find you and hold you accountable,” Thompson said. “This shouldn’t be this way.” Police are asking for the community’s help in finding a suspect.
