Three people were killed after a man charged with driving drunk struck another vehicle on Saturday morning, the Wilmington Police Department said. The crash occurred in the area of 9th and Walnut streets in Wilmington, Delaware, at around 4:18 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, police said. W hen officers arrived at the scene, they found three people dead inside the car that was struck, police said. The deceased have only been identified as a 48-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man. Nicholas Resto, 30, was also found at the scene and was taken into custody, police said. Resto was initially taken to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. He has since been committed to the Department of Correction and has been charged with three counts of manslaughter and one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.
