SALISBURY, N.C. – Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened in Salisbury on Thursday afternoon. Around 4 p.m., officers responded to a home on Beard Street near North Long Street in regards to a reported breaking and entering. Upon arrival, police located multiple victims, includin g one person who was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. A man, suspected to be the shooter, and a woman, who was injured, were transported to a local hospital for treatment, police said. The shooting stemmed from a domestic-related incident and turned into an assault involving multiple people, according to police. All parties involved have been identified and accounted for.
