Filipino bakery serving señorita bread to open 2 new Bay Area locations

(KRON) -- It's a staple at almost every Filipino family gathering.
Perhaps you've seen these small, cylindrical bread rolls inside a white or green box. Señorita bread only contains a few ingredients like butter, sugar and salt — a possible reason its simplicity has led to its popularity.

e Filipino restaurant and bakery in Daly City that serves señorita bread is opening two new Bay Area locations. Ling Nam Restaurant and Bakeshop will open in South San Francisco and Union City, the establishment tells KRON4.
Construction for the Union City location started this week. Its address is 1760 Decoto Road, which is part of the Union Square Marketplace. Ling Nam is targeting an opening this June.
Ling Nam's upcoming South San Francisco outpost is located at 231 Grand Ave., in the city's downtown area. The business did not reveal a target opening date, but construction has begun.
These two locations will be called a "Ling Nam Express." The business did not make it clear if the menu would differ from the original Daly City location, but its famed señorita bread will be served.

Ling Nam was established in Daly City in 1990. For decades, it has been a go-to spot for señorita bread lovers to purchase a box for their next gathering. Ling Nam is not to be confused with Starbread Bakery, another Filipino establishment based in the Bay Area that serves señorita bread.
Starbread and Ling Nam had a partnership in 2009 when Ling Nam was serving Starbread-branded señorita bread inside their restaurant. Starbread then started franchising on its own.
The two parties' partnership ended "a couple of years ago," according to Ling Nam.
