(KRON) -- Coachella, one of the world's largest and most renowned music festivals, draws hundreds of thousands of visitors every year to the Southern California desert. For the first time, the festival is partnering with the iconic American apparel brand Gap. Gap will serve as Coachella's exclusive apparel sponsor and official merchandise partner, the San Francisco-founded clothing brand announced in a news release. The featured item will be Gap's signature hoodie, combined with the Coachella branding on it (see photo below). The limited-edition hoodie will be available in sizes XS-XXL. The hoodies will be sold at both weekends and are available to pre-order online. According to Coachella's official website, the Gap x Coachella collaboration features two items: a zip (navy) and a pullover hoodie (black). Each is being sold for $100. There will be an option to customize the hoodie for an extra $10. (Credit: Gap) P-pop girl group BINI talks new album, making history at Coachella Gap has partnered with music festivals before -- most recently in 2025 when it debuted its "Hoodie House" concept at Outside Lands. Hoodie House is a tent at the festival where fans can customize their Gap hoodie, with designs like an Outside Lands patch to embroider. Hoodie House will also be at Coachella this spring, available for both general admission and VIP ticketholders. Perhaps there's a link between Gap and one of the upcoming Coachella performers. Girl group KATSEYE is set to perform on Friday and went viral last year for an ad campaign the sextet did with Gap. “Coachella is one of the most influential global stages for music, movement and creativity, making it a natural place for Gap to show up and engage audiences in a meaningful way,” Gap Chief Marketing Officer Fabiola Torres said in a news release. “As we continue to strengthen our connection to music culture, Hoodie House brings one of our most recognizable icons into that environment and gives festivalgoers the opportunity to make it their own.”  Gap was founded in San Francisco in 1969. ...read more read less
