  CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  The Carolina Panthers are moving on from veteran quarterback Andy Dalton. The Panthers agreed Wednesday to trade the 38-year-old quarterback to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2027 seventh-round pick. Dalton played for the Panthers for three years and served a key role in Br yce Young’s development. Across 13 appearances, he threw for 1,643 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. The move comes after Carolina signed former first-round quarterback Kenny Pickett to a one year, $7.5 million contract on March 11. It also signals the Panthers’ belief in Young moving forward. Back in January, the Panthers picked up Young’s fifth-year option, keeping him under contract through the 2027 season.  Young has been the team’s starting quarterback since being taken No. 1 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft.
