March Madness is almost here and one Bay Area school has already punched their ticket to the Elite 8. Cal State East Bay is heading to the NCAA Division II tournament, hoping to make a run at the national championship. The team went 33-0 this season, finishing Monday night with a 73-58 win ove r Point Loma in the NCAA Division II West Regional. The Pioneers haven’t made it this far since 1985, when they won a regional championship on their home floor that year. The quarterfinals will be held next Wednesday in Pittsburg. The championship is on Sunday, April 5, in Indianapolis.
