INDIANAPOLIS (WISH-TV) – Cold conditions throughout the day today with little sunshine. A batch of light snow moves through late tonight and early Wednesday morning. This may create a few slick spots but the snow should not stick around for
long. Temperatures continue to climb for the end of the week.
TODAY: A few flurries this morning but the main weather story will be that it is cold. Temperatures will be well below the normal high of 52. Will look for highs around 29. If we do not hit 30 degrees this afternoon it will be the coldest St Patrick’s Day since the 1940s.
Mainly cloudy conditions today with some of those flurries in the morning. We will see some sunshine peeking through later in the afternoon. Winds may be a bit breezy at times out of the West.
TONIGHT: Mainly cloudy conditions overnight with temperatures falling into the 20s. Another batch of snow will push in late tonight during the overnight hours with some minor accumulations expected. We could see a little bit of some snow on the roadways early Wednesday morning.
TOMORROW: A few slick spots early as snow continues to fall across parts of the state. The snow exits the state by late morning. Some locations may get up to an inch of accumulation. Whatever snow you do see will not stick around for long. High temperatures will climb around 47 degrees for the afternoon. So we will see some melting.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Temperatures continue to climb for the end of the week. Look for highs right around 60 degrees on Thursday. We may see a few showers move through on Thursday as a system moves across the state. Because temperatures will be on the warmer side all the precipitation will fall in the form of rain. Even warmer temperatures on Friday with highs right around 67 and dry conditions.
