A Chicago man was charged with allegedly shooting his mother and a Chicago police sergeant Saturday night in Pullman on the Far South Side. Treavor Taylor, of the 11300 block of South Indiana Avenue, was charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, aggravated battery of a peace officer and aggravated battery by discharging a firearm among other charges, police said. The sergeant — driving in a marked police car — was in the 11200 block of South Corliss Avenue around 11 p.m. Saturday when she were shot in the leg, according to police. That location is about a block south of the Calumet District CPD station.The sergeant drove to a nearby hospital, where she was reported in good condition. Minutes earlier, Taylor allegedly shot his 63-year-old mother inside a residence in the 11300 block of South Indiana Avenue, according to police sources.
