There is an extra reason to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year: the first return of the downtown street party since the pandemic shuttered it. It will run from 4 to 10 p.m. today on Fort Street Mall, rather than outside Murphy’s Bar Grill at Nuuanu Avenue and Merchant Street. Murphy’s will still have the traditional fare, of course.
