Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much. The Spurs took care of the Hornets on Saturday, and face the Clippers tonight in game one of a quick back-to-back California road trip. The Spurs will be without Luke Kornet (right knee soreness) and Dylan Harper (calf contusion), and Kawhi Leonard is listed as doubtful for LA with an ankle sprain. The Clippers are coming off of a bad 109-118 loss to the Sacramento Kings, who were eliminated from playoff contention this week, and feel bad about it. The Spurs previously played the Clippers on February 21, and won on an emotional 25 points comeback. These two teams will play each other once again, on April 2 in LA, but the Spurs could wrap up the season series with a win tonight. The Spurs could have a rough time tonight if they don’t take the opponent seriously, as the Clippers are dangerous in their home arena, and the Spurs big man rotation will be limited with Kornet out. Dylan Harper will be missed, but Stephon Castle and De’Aaron Fox should have big games tonight. Darius Garland has scored 30 in two of his last three games, so Castle will probably be assigned to shut him down tonight. If the Spurs take care of business early, they can get some rest late and get ready to finish up the road trip in Sacramento tomorrow. The Kings are no longer in playoff contention, but they are still playing hard, and the Silver and Black are going to have to work hard to maintain focus in what could be a prototypical trap game. Winning both game would set them up for Thursday night’s game in San Antonio against the Suns, where they would wrap up sixth place, securing a playoff spot and officially avoiding the play-in tournament. GO SPURS GOO!! Game Prediction: Mason Plumlee scores a career high 30 points, as Brook Lopez struggles to defend him.
