Mar 16, 2026
The Off Broadway Alliance (OBA) – a nonprofit organization composed of theater professionals dedicated to supporting, promoting, and sustaining Off-Broadway theater while making live performance more accessible to diverse audiences – has announced the 20th anniversary edition of 20at20, the bi
-annual celebration of Off-Broadway theater, offering the opportunity to purchase $20 tickets beginning twenty minutes prior to curtain time for participating Off-Broadway plays and musicals. One of the best values in New York City theater, the upcoming discount program, running from Monday, March 23 through Sunday, April 12, 2026, features a diverse lineup of 28 Off-Broadway musicals, plays, immersive experiences, and family-friendly favorites.
Over the past two decades, 20at20 has become one of NYC’s most popular promotions for theatergoers, providing an easy and affordable way to experience the creativity and variety of Off-Broadway – often the starting point for some of the most exciting works in American theater and transfers to Broadway – giving everyone the chance to see seven or eight shows for less than the price of a single Broadway ticket.
According to Peter Breger, President of the Off Broadway Alliance, “This 20th anniversary edition of 20at20 is especially meaningful, with more than 25 magical live theater experiences that showcase exactly what Off-Broadway does best. These shows are innovative, intimate, daring, playful, and full of surprises. With 20at20, there truly is something for everyone. When tickets are just $20, why not see one show – or two, three, or even more?”The current list of participating shows is as follows (additional shows may be announced in the coming days):
