Body of missing 18-year-old found on city’s northeast side INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The body of an 18-year-old man reported missing last week was found at a cell tower on the city’s far east side, Indianapolis police said. Officers located Traveion Pirtle within a fenced-in area surroundin g a cellular tower in the 10500 block of East 38th Street on Friday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced Monday. The cell tower is about one-half mile east of John Marshall High School near North German Church Road. Pirtle had been reported missing on Sunday, March 8. “This heartbreaking development follows extensive search efforts throughout the area, including the use of search K9’s and drone technology,” IMPD said in a statement. “The Indiana Department of Natural Resources assisted with searching several nearby retention ponds. Multiple community members also spread the word and organized search parties, and we appreciate their involvement. “ The Marion County Coroner’s Office positively identified Pirtle on Monday, but it did not say how he died.
