On Monday at 1:34 p.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 5 p.m. until Tuesday 11 a.m. for Greene, Columbia, Ulster and Dutchess counties.“Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected,” comments the weather service. “South to southwest winds will strengthen this afternoon into this evening before a potent cold front sweeps through the region tonight resulting in winds to switch to the west.
