An emergency vehicle was struck while responding to a crash on I-80 near Greenwood. A social media post from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office says a portion of road between Greenwood and the Mahoney State Park has closed a portion of Interstate 80 due to a multi-vehicle crash. Some reports indicate there were at least 20 vehicles involved.
Bryan Health treated a total of four patients from a multi-vehicle crash on I-80 near mile marker 435 and the Greenwood exit.
Two patients have been admitted to Bryan West Campus. Both are in fair condition.
Two patients were treated and released.
A winter storm with snow and winds gusting as high as 65 mph have caused white-out conditions over much of eastern Nebraska Sunday afternoon.
In Lincoln, LTU officials say arterial streets are wet with normal driving conditions. Drivers should be alert for slick spots as temperatures drop below freezing.
