RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Shamrock the Block, a beloved Richmond tradition, returned to Leigh Street on Saturday. For its 20th year, Shamrock the Block welcomed thousands to wear their best green and leprechaun attire. Event Pour Entertainment organized the event and said they have watched families a nd friends turn the street festival into a destination. 8News asked some Richmonders what makes the event so special year after year. "It's a lot of fun to see everybody and everybody's clothing is so different. The art of it is a lot of fun," Sam Fennimore said.  "Just getting to see all the live music and the DJs.
