A man was taken into custody Saturday night after locking himself in a home with a child following a domestic incident in South Deering.Officers responded about 5:45 p.m. to the 1800 block of East 95th Street where the man, 52, was in a physical altercation with a woman, according to Chicago police. The woman was escorted by officers out of the home. A SWAT team was called after the man locked himself in a room with a 4-year-old boy, police said.Officers entered the home and escorted the boy outside, and the man was taken into custody, police said.The boy was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital for observation, police said. ...read more read less
