Three people and a dog were displaced following a home fire in Castro Valley Friday, according to the Alameda County Fire Department. Authorities said crews responded to a fire at a home located in the 5800 block of Highway Road in Castro Valley just after 6:30 p.m. Officials said the home was fu lly involved and residents heard an explosion. No injuries were reported, but officials said three people and a dog were displaced and one home near the one affected suffered minor damage.
