(BCN) -- A mountain lion was spotted in Palo Alto on Saturday morning. An alert from the Palo Alto Police Department at 8:15 a.m. said police officers were on the scene in the 700 block of North Hampton Drive after a resident saw one of the big cats. Animal Control officers and personnel from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife were also responding. The mountain lion did not display aggressive behavior, according to the police department. Residents should call 911 if they see the mountain lion and the public was asked to avoid the area.
