High wind watch for North Country for Sunday and Monday — gusts to hit 60 mph

At 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a high wind watch valid from Sunday 8 p.m. until Monday 8 p.m. for Franklin, Clinton and Essex counties.“South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible,” says the weather service. “The strongest period of wind is expecte d between 2 a.m. Monday and 5 p.m. Monday.” ...read more read less
