Oakland police released footage of the moments leading up to the death of former Raiders player Doug Martin. In October, Oakland PD responded to reports of a break-in at a home in the Oakland Hills. The police department released the body camera and surveillance video from that incident to NBC B ay Area. The footage shows former Raider Doug Martin breaking through a fence and running into a backyard of a home in the Oakland Hills and then yelling and busting a window to get into the house. Officers went after him and, after a brief struggle, took Martin into custody. The footage shows Martin screaming as police put handcuffs on him and a short time later, officers said Martin became unresponsive and paramedics could not revive him. His family had called 911 earlier saying Martin was experiencing a mental health emergency and had run from the house.
