Central NY weather forecast: Some parts of region expecting 18 inches of snow

A winter storm warning remains in effect for the Eastern Lake Ontario region from 11 a.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday, with heavy snow accumulations between 10 and 18 inches expected, along with winds gusting as high as 50 mph that will produce blowing and drifting snow.
