Western NY, Finger Lakes placed under a high wind warning Friday and Saturday — gusts to hit 60 mph

On Thursday at 1:59 p.m. a high wind warning was released by the National Weather Service valid from Friday noon until Saturday 5 a.m. for Niagara, Orleans, Erie, Genesee and Wyoming counties.The weather service adds, “Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.”
