Weather whiplash: Rain, snow and plummeting temperatures for Philly region

Prepare for some dramatic weather changes.
While Thursday morning in the Philadelphia region started off warm, be sure to keep a coat nearby. A significant drop in temperatures is occurring, along with light snow, sleet and rain.
The NBC10 First Alert Weather Team reported a 50-degree dro
p in temperature from Wednesday to Thursday afternoon.

A strong cold front moved through the region on Thursday afternoon, bringing a mix of rain, sleet and snow that will continue through the night.
Light snow began falling in the Philadelphia area around 2:30 p.m. However, there will not be any accumulation.
Temperatures crashed from the 50s and 60s to the 30s during the afternoon. Due to gusty winds, wind chills will hover around the upper 20s to low 30s.
Seasonable air will return Friday and into the weekend with highs in the low to mid 50s.
